Catherine Skirt
70% ramie · 30% cotton
Catherine’s cloth was chosen for its beautiful balance of structure and movement, enough weight to create that wonderful sweep, while remaining breathable and comfortable to wear.
Ramie is a strong plant fibre with a subtle natural lustre, and the cloth will soften further with wear and washing. The elasticated waistband uses 70% organic cotton and 30% natural rubber elastic.

Catherine has a smooth, fitted front waistband with an elasticated back, giving you a defined waist without sacrificing comfort.
The waistband stretches approximately 2–3 inches beyond the selected waist measurement. For example, a 28-inch waist will comfortably stretch to approximately 30–31 inches.

This skirt has been in my heart for many years. An idea bubbling just below the surface of my mind.
I knew I wanted to create something timeless, comfortable and practical for the souls that love our pieces and the Earthly beauty all around us.

As an individual, I’ve always been drawn to the classic 1950s silhouette, so when I found an original pattern I knew I’d found the foundation of this design.

Catherine brings a little 1950s romance to the everyday wardrobe. With her full, sweeping silhouette and comfortable waistband, she's designed to be worn often, through the seasons and in all sorts of settings.
Each Catherine Skirt is cut to your chosen waist size and length from a beautifully weighted ramie and cotton fabric.
The front pleats give the skirt its fullness, while the smooth front waistband and elasticated back provide a comfortable fit. Deep pockets, belt loops, a side zip and a coconut-shell button complete the design.
Choose from five lengths and a selection of earthy colours to suit your wardrobe.
Catherine can be worn simply with a blouse and boots, paired with knitwear or dressed up with a pair of stays.

Your Catherine Skirt is made to order in approximately 3–4 weeks.
Once finished, your skirt will be carefully checked, pressed and packaged in my Devon studio before being sent to you.
Machine wash at 30–40°C with a gentle detergent.
Air dry, or tumble dry on low.
Iron on a medium cotton setting. Avoid high heat.
Do not bleach.
Made to be worn, washed and loved for years.

I've just received my Catherine Skirt and it's even more perfect than in the pictures. The fabric is strong and light, the pockets are deep, and it has a great swich to it as you move. I just love how it can be dressed up or down, throughout all seasons.
