Vetch & Clover

Always striving to be
Ethical & Sustainable

Vetch & Clover wants to be a positive change and a step in the right direction for the fashion industry. Providing sustainable and ethically made designs that focuses on choice, size inclusivity and customisation.

Sustainability isn't a fixed state here, it's an on going conscious practise that is carried in the care and making of every garment.

With a focus on producing low waste through a made-to-order process and using specially selected natural materials and Oeko-Tex Certified Materials, Vetch & Clover works hard to produce what is natural.

Working with Oeko-Tex materials means that the fabrics don’t contain any chemicals or harmful substances.

Our Packaging

Our packaging is completely recyclable! Using cardboard to hold your item and tissue paper to wrap it. We even use kraft paper tape!

A Low-Waste Approach

Minimising waste is at the heart of our process.

  • Fabric offcuts are saved and passed on to other creatives for use in their own projects

  • Smaller remnants are repurposed wherever possible, including as stuffing

  • We're continuously looking for ways to reduce unnecessary material use during production.

While we all know, no process is completely waste-free, We aim to keep waste as low as possible and ensure materials are used with care rather than discarded.

Through our made-to-order process we are able to reduce our waste even further, producing on demand is a great way to keep any excess items from being added to landfill.

With this method we love that each piece exists because it has already been chosen and valued.

Plastics

We mainly focus on using Cottons and Linen as well as Wool for the cooler months.

We avoid the use of plastics unless we are creating with an upcycled fabric which we often source from curtains and vintage bed sheets etc (this is stated in the material descriptions)

The elastic we use is no longer plastic based!

It's made from Organic Cotton and Natural Rubber so it's 100% natural.

Aurora Fay,

the owner and founder of  Vetch & Clover has a great respect and relationship with nature and wants to leave a positive step towards the future of our beautiful planet. She wants to ensure that what we produce won’t be adding to the already growing pile of fashion waste.

A work in progress...

Sustainability is not a single checkbox, it’s a balance of materials, production, longevity, and impact.

Aurora's approach focuses on:

  • Made-to-order production

  • Reducing waste

  • Creating garments that last

And we remain committed to improving and evolving these practices over time.
