The Peasant Blouse has been part of our wardrobe for years, loved for its softness, simplicity and easy romantic shape.

Inspired by the generous sleeves and gathered necklines of historical dress, wear it softly gathered, loosened at the neckline, tucked into a sweeping skirt or simply with your favourite trousers.

An easy piece to wear, and one to return to again and again.

Your blouse begins as soft cotton gauze, cut in your chosen size before being gathered and sewn into its loose, romantic shape.

The neckline is threaded with cotton cord so you can adjust the gathering, while the sleeves are finished with cuffs and little wooden buttons.

Each blouse is made to order, with final threads trimmed and the garment checked and pressed before leaving our studio.

100% soft cotton gauze

Lightweight, breathable and beautifully soft against the skin, cotton gauze gives this blouse its relaxed character.

Its naturally crinkled texture means it isn’t supposed to look perfectly pressed or pristine. Instead, the cloth has a softness and slight irregularity that suits the loose gathering and full sleeves beautifully.

Available in a changing collection of Vetch & Clover colours.

The Peasant Blouse is designed for a relaxed fit through the chest and body, narrowing slightly towards the hips.

Its gathered neckline can be adjusted using the cotton cord, allowing you to alter both the width and the way the blouse sits around your shoulders.

The sleeves finish just below the elbow and fasten with a small wooden button at the cuff.

Available in sizes 2XS–4XL.

Once your order reaches its turn in our making queue, your fabric will be selected and cut before your blouse is sewn, gathered, finished, checked and pressed in our Devon studio.

When it’s ready, we’ll wrap it carefully and send it on its way to you.
